We recently installed 5 A-Frame benches on the terrace of the iconic "Department W" building on Mile End Road. The former Wickham's department store was built in the 1920's and was known as the "Harrods of the East".
Architects Buckley Gray Yeoman were commissioned by Schroders, an investment management company, to convert it into modern office space.
The A-Frames were customised by the incorporation of extra weight in the metal to prevent movement in strong winds, with bespoke colouring to brighten up the terrace area:
